Foster homes

We are in constant need of people willing to foster animals for the society. All food, litter and veterinary treatment is provided and reasonable expenses are reimbursed. If you are interested please ring Christine Hirst – 01484 687710

Conditions of Adoption

We are looking for safe permanent homes for our cats & kittens. This means we need to ask questions about your personal circumstances, which includes your ability to cover all vet bills as this will become your responsibility following adoption.

We do not usually re-home cats or kittens to homes directly onto a main road because of the traffic dangers. If you do live on a main road and think you can offer a safe home we can arrange a pre-home check.

All members of the family must agree to the adoption.

All existing cats in the household should be neutered & vaccinated.

A home checker will visit you soon after you have adopted your cat to make sure you are happy with your new pet and there are no problems. We do not usually re-home very young kittens to homes where family members work all day, as they need company and regular meals.

Cats from this Branch are rehomed only to Huddersfield & District area.

Stable & Farm Cats

We are always looking for suitable stables or farms to place feral & semi-feral cats. These are usually half grown kittens or young cats which have been trapped, neutered & treated for parasites. For various reasons they are unable to be returned to their previous site, for example a mill or property due for demolition or no-one available to feed them.

The deal - Permanent rodent control of barns & outbuildings in exchange for a cosy corner to sleep, daily food & water, regular worming & a humane end when the time comes.

There is no charge for these cats.
